What we stand on

Heritage · Handmade · Hospitality

We started in a Jerusalem neighbourhood where the bread had to be good because everyone knew your name. Nothing about that has changed. The dough is still mixed by the same hands, the burekas are still folded one at a time, and the oven still decides when something is ready.

Now we do it in South Florida, for families who grew up on it and families who are about to.

Our Story

Est. 1990

A TABUNA baker carrying a green tray of sesame and poppy-seed challah

1990 — Jerusalem, Israel

The Beginning

Our journey starts in 1990 in the heart of Jerusalem, where the love for baking met the excitement of serving people. One oven, a short list of things we knew how to do properly, and a queue that got longer every Friday.

The years between

Growing our community

Over the years we grew our community and watched generations of families become part of ours — the children who came for warm rugelach after school now bring their own, and still order the same thing.

2026 — South Florida

Crossing the ocean

After years of preparation we made the big move across the ocean to open our first American location, bringing thirty-six years of experience to Hollywood, Florida — same recipes, same hands, new neighbours.

A table laid with TABUNA breads, salads and pastries

Baked with passion, built on community

From a stone oven in Jerusalem to a new home in South Florida, TABUNA has always been about more than bread. It is about the families who have grown up with us, generation after generation — and about being the place that is still open when everyone else has closed.

What you can count on

Our Promise

01

Kosher, under ORB

Every item is produced under ORB supervision, so you never have to ask twice.

02

Baked fresh on site

Nothing arrives frozen on a truck. It is mixed, folded and baked here, all day and most of the night.

03

The taboon oven

Stone-floor heat is what gives our bread its blistered crust and our pastry its snap. There is no shortcut for it.

04

Catering, gladly

Shabbat tables, brit milah, office mornings — tell us the headcount and we will handle the rest.
